At the IPW AGM held in March earlier this year, I received the Institute of Professional Willwriters ‘Willwriter of the Year 2013’ award. IPW Chairman, Paul Sharpe, on behalf of the IPW Council presented the award in recognition of my work in setting up a successful network of over 50 North West England IPW members to provide continuous professional development and training. In addition, during 2012, I liaised with several regional clients on IPW matters.
I am naturally very proud to receive this award and I have thanked the IPW Council for supporting me and other independent Willwriters.
Training seminars have varied from meetings with the Office of the Public Guardian to ‘Wills for farmers’ and from ‘Marketing workshops for Willwriters’ to meetings with the Land Registry.
Continuing Professional Development is an important feature of membership to the IPW and the meetings provide great opportunities to network and develop business ideas and relationships.
